Online Information Sessions: Ireland
Volunteering in community gardens for cancer survivors
​In September, SPACE project partner Volunteer Ireland (VI) will hold two 30-minute online sessions for cancer survivors interested in volunteering in community gardens in Ireland, and in the related study carried out by Trinity College and Volunteer Ireland.

*Please note that Volunteer Ireland is offering the same session at two different dates and times to give participants greater flexibility. They will cover the same information and interested participants do not need to attend both sessions.
​
During the sessions, VI will:

Introduce the SPACE project: what it is, how long it is, where the gardens are;

Explain what tasks are involved during volunteering;

Explain what the study measures: your well-being before and after volunteering through survey questionaires;

Answer any further questions you may have.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The sessions are open to cancer survivors who have finished their treatments for at least 6 months and any time after that, and who are interested in getting involved in gardening in a local community garden.

You should sign up if you are able to attend any of the below Community Gardens on a weekly basis for 6 months:
