Webinar on Community-Based Cancer Rehabilitation: Social Prescribing in Primary Care

Description: This webinar provides valuable insights into the emerging social prescribing model of care.  It brought together experts from across Europe to discuss how social prescribing - connecting patients with non-medical community activities - can help people recovering from cancer regain strength, confidence, and connection. It explored how volunteering in green spaces like urban gardens can boost mental well-being, reduce isolation, and empower people to move from patient to active contributor.

Speakers also shared results from the SPACE survey, next steps for pilot programmes, and the role of primary care professionals in supporting this holistic, person-centred approach to rehabilitation.
